Min and Max function in excel
a) MIN Function
The MIN function in Excel, finds the lowest number in a range. Syntax =MIN(Range)
Note: • The function ignores cells with text and empty cells. It will only work for cells with numbers.
• There is another function called MAX, which finds the highest value in a range, the opposite of MIN.
Example: Let’s calculate the MIN function over the cells in the range D1:D9.
The MIN function successfully returns the minimum value in the range.
b) MAX Function The MAX function in Excel, finds the highest number in a range. Syntax =MAX(Range)
