Text Slicer visual in Power BI

In this exercise, we will add the Text slicer in power bi.

Step 1: Click on the Text slicer visual icon from the Visualisations pane, as shown in the image below:

Step 2: Let’s add the field to the Field well on which we want to filter the report page.

Step 3: Let’s we want all the names which contains “ash” in their name. Type the letter in the text slicer and then press enter. We can see that the page is filtered as shown in the image below:

Note: • We have seen the Text slicer is not case sensitive.
• The Text slicer is used for substring search.

Step 4: Let’s format the text slicer. The Filter by keyword in the slicer is nothing but the placeholder, that we can change.
